ArcoLinux and ArcoLinuxD are based on ArchLinux. ArchLinux can have many desktop environments. As a result so can ArcoLinux or ArcoLinuxD.

ArcoLinux has the advantage of having a lot of pre-installed applications, icons, themes and conky's.

After the installation you select your wallpaper, icons, theme and cursor and start using ArcoLinux.
